IndusInd Bank Signature Legend Credit Card Review

IndusInd bank has a variety of credit card products and offers. The only problem with any IndusInd credit card product is the huge one-time joining fee.

IndusInd Signature Legend Credit Card Review

About Signature Legend Credit Card

IndusInd Signature Legend Credit Card is a premium credit card under the VISA Signature platform and positioned below the Pinnacle credit card. It’s also mentioned as a Legend credit card in many places. It’s also a PayWave / Contactless card.

Look and Feel

  • The card has a really good shiny design
  • Notably, they have the card number and other details printed on the back of the card
    • I do feel that was a bad idea as CVV and card number are both on the same side is not good.

Joining Fee

I was paid 24,000 + GST to get this card for a lifetime fee. Seems like the one-time fee is the only way to get this card irrespective of the relationship value with IndusInd Bank.

Welcome Gift

At the time, there are voucher options from the below merchants.

  • JetAirways
  • Oberoi Hotels
  • Genesis Luxury Vouchers
  • And others

I opted for the Jet Airways voucher as I like their service and their presence in Coimbatore Airport. I was sent 4 promo codes via email and SMS, one month after the card was delivered.

Reward points

If there is one good thing about this card is 1 Reward points = 1 Re. in Cash Credit and there are no restrictions and redemption charges as in HDFC bank redemptions. Cash Credit means you can use the reward points to pay your credit card bill. This is one of the reasons why I love the IndusInd credit card. All I have to do is just call priority customer care and inform to convert the reward points into cash credit. I would have loved to do so on the app if the option was available I’m still okay to call and convert, as it takes just 5 mins and is so smooth.

IndusInd offers many options for the redemption of reward points such as

  • IndusMoments
  • Oberoi Hotels & Resorts Stay vouchers
  • Genesis Luxury Vouchers
  • Airline Miles on partner airlines
  • Cash Credit

Interestingly the reward points are different for weekends and weekdays on this card. And this is one of the reasons why I picked this card too. Flat 2% Reward Points for every 100 Rupees on weekend. Logically I spend or pay bills on weekends, so this is a perfect fit for earning bonus reward points without any effort.

weekend spending bonus: 2% reward points

Another reason to love IndusInd Credit Card is the transparency in the reward points. Your PDF will let you know how many reward points you earned for each transaction. Unlike HDFC where you could only know the total Reward Points instead of per transaction.

The below table consists of Date, Transaction details, Merchant Category, Reward Points and Amount, Credit/Debit

When if you have an EMI on the card or withdraw cash from the ATM using this Credit Card, the calculations are explained clearly.

IndusMobile app

I have to do a special mention of the IndusMobile app because it really serves the purpose. IndusMobile app for Android has been tightly integrated with TapZo SDK. The advantage of this is we can make utility bill payments easily. Not just that there is also offers most of the time.

For example:

I pay my mobile bill and ACT broadband bill using the IndusMobile app, I usually get a 10 – 20 rupees discount along with 2% reward points on weekends. This means if my broadband bill is 1040, I’ll end up paying just 1,000 rupees as 20 is given back as Reward Points and another 20 from TapZo All-in-one store discount.

HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card Review

HDFC Diners Club Black is one of the best super premium international credit cards in India. I have huge respect for their strategy and reward points. The team who manages and promotes the card really understands what the customer needs and introduced the 10x partners on travel, food and shopping category. I think I’m personally very loyal to this credit card and proud to make use of it too. VISA and MasterCard may be the top market share holders for credit cards, but there are other players such as Diners Club International (DCI) and RuPay. Diners Club has an exclusive tie-up with HDFC Bank as issuer in India. DCI has a history from 1950 and was the first charge card. They were acquired by CitiBank in 1981 and later by Discover Financial Services in April 2008. How I Manage Multiple Credit Cards?

Getting my first credit card When I first applied for Credit Card in 2013, it was rejected saying I’m not over 23 to apply. Credit Card Application Rejection Due To Age As soon as I turned 23, on the same day I applied for my first credit from HDFC. It was an HDFC MoneyBack Credit Card, I had no clue on reward points, lounge access or Insurance. I just had it for the feeling of holding one.

How to make the best use of HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card?

HDFC Bank Diners Club Black is one of the best super premium credit card available in India. I’m using this credit card for more than a year now. This article is my hands-on experience in milking the credit card for getting maximum reward points. 10X Rewards The best thing about the Diners Club is the 10X reward points. I personally think the team behind the Diners Club does an awesome job of shortlisting the partners from day-to-day needs and offer 10X rewards. I live in Bangalore, I have now started using Zoomcar for weekend getaways, order food on Swiggy , book tickets on BookMyShow , do e-commerce shopping on Myntra, Flipkart or Amazon and make my bill payments using PayZapp Wallet . With these partners, I’m able to cover almost 80% of my monthly needs. These 10X reward partners are updated on quaterly basis.
